NOTE: These recipes do not include the exact instructions from the cookbook, the cookbook has more detail. If I get enough requests I may post a recipe from the cookbook as it's written.
Snickerdoodles
1 cup butter softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
---
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsps. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
********
Cinnamon-sugar Mixture
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cinnamon
(or mix to your taste)
Heat oven to 400 degrees Farenheit
Cream together butter and sugar, beat in eggs.
Stir in (get a strong
wooden spoon) flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt until very well
mixed.
Roll dough into small balls (about the size of walnuts) and roll
in cinnamon sugar mixture.
Place on un-greased cookie sheet (they don't
do all that well on non-stick sheets) and bake 8 to 10 minutes
