As the beginning of November is upon us, we've entered Pancreatic Awareness month.
There
are no tests yet for Pancreatic Cancer, but it has hit the mainstream
with Steve Jobs death and hit home with my sister's diagnosis. The
symptoms mimic many other illnesses, but if you are having unusual
nausea or your skin is getting uncharacteristically itchy keep demanding
testing. If your doctor won't listen find another.
Don't be afraid to demand tests, don't hesitate to demand tests. Know your normal, trust your gut, and never be afraid to be your own best advocate!
